1 When products are out of warranty we use a quotes system. Once we have received your product we will let you know the costs of your repair.

What should I do if I purchased my product abroad?
SAMSUNG Electronics Benelux support a product purchased in Europe if it has an EU Bloc Warranty. This warranty is present where the top of the product warranty card clearly states 'European Bloc'.

If the product is purchased in another part of the globe then SAMSUNG may attempt a repair. SAMSUNG Electronics Benelux Ltd cannot guarantee the outcome of such a repair.

Your SAMSUNG warranty
SAMSUNG products carry a full warranty for the period stated. Warranty periods may vary between SAMSUNG products, depending on the design, the manufacturer or anticipated use of the product. The warranty period applies from the date of purchase by the first customer and is transferable only between end-users.

This warranty does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Items NOT covered by your warranty
The SAMSUNG warranty covers manufacturing defects only. This does not include consumables such as batteries, bulbs, ink cartridges etc. The liability of SAMSUNG Electronics (or its appointed maintenance agent) is limited to the cost of repair and/or replacement of the product under warranty. The warranty is invalidated if the defect is caused (howsoever) by misuse, neglect, and tampering or incorrect adjustment. It is invalidated if unauthorised persons carry out any alterations and/or repairs. Also, the warranty is invalidated in the following cases:

  • For the repair of a domestic product used in a commercial environment
  • For repair due to incorrect installation in your home
  • For repair to any product where the serial number has been removed
  • Where any ancillary equipment not furnished or recommended by Samsung that is attached to or used in connection with the product causes problems or damage.

    Note:

  • If you are returning the product for warranty repair, make sure you package it very carefully, insure it, make sure you have enclosed the invoice or receipt and give instructions relating to the repair.
  • If you are sending your SLR body to be repaired, please put the body cap on, as this may prevent any unnecessary damage during transport to Tech Repair B.V. It is also a good idea to send as few accessories as possible, if these do not affect the technical functioning of your camera.
  • If you have not used the camera for some time or are planning to capture something you will not want to lose, please consult the description of the functions in the user manual before you use the product.
  • Shipping costs

  • warranty repair: the product will be returned to you free of charge;
  • out of warranty repair: shipping costs will be included in the cost estimate;
  • if the camera is returned without being repaired there are no additional shipping costs;
